I'm building applyapply — it runs a serious job search overnight: matching roles, tailored resumes, cover notes, and answers so applications take minutes instead of hours. Live product. https://applyapply.xyz
Hiring two founding roles:
1) Founding Engineer — $140–170k + meaningful founding equity
Own the product end-to-end: sourcing, resume-per-posting pipeline, Chrome extension, reliability. Full-stack + LLM/API work. Bias to ship; keep candidate achievements intact (no bland rewrites).
Apply: https://applyapply.xyz/jobs/founding-engineer
2) Founding Growth — $110–140k + meaningful founding equity
Own how people find applyapply: channels, content, experiments, conversion. Partner with eng on the product surfaces that drive adoption. You've grown a consumer/prosumer product (or built something that spread without a big brand budget).
Apply: https://applyapply.xyz/jobs/founding-growth
Both: remote US preferred, Austin OK.

VOYGR (YC W26) | Founding Product Engineer | San Francisco | ONSITE | Full-time | $150K-$200K + 0.5%-2.0% equity
I'm Yarik, cofounder and CTO. Before this I spent 20 years in tech with 10+ years running infra, ML and search teams at Google, Meta and Apple.
We love maps and build location/businesses APIs for AI apps and agents. If ChatGPT tells you a restaurant is open and it actually closed in March, that's the problem we fix. We check whether a business still exists, whether its hours and details are right, and enrich it with what's being written about it on the web (news, articles, events). Customers get all of it through one API and we solve it for them with our models which use all available sources and ai voice agents which can confirm the information.
You'd be one of the first engineers. Some weeks that's search and ranking, some weeks it's data pipelines or evals, some weeks it's the API or something a customer asked for yesterday. You'll have a big say in what gets built, not just how.
Stack: Python, FastAPI, Postgres/PostGIS, DynamoDB, Redis, AWS (EKS), our own ML models plus LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic).
What I'm looking for:
- 2+ years shipping production systems, or fewer if your background is unusual and you can show what you've built
- real experience with at least one of: search/IR, large-scale data processing, ML systems, API design
- you already use Claude Code, Cursor or similar as part of how you work
- geo/POI data experience is a plus, not required
Fair warning: we are a small team, fast pace, and there could be nights and weekends. If that's not where you are in life right now, totally fine, this just isn't a good fit.
Process: a short note on why you, a 30 min call with me and then Vlad, a technical deep dive, then a paid trial project.
Cisco ThousandEyes | San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA | Full-time | HYBRID ONSITE (2 days/week) | https://www.thousandeyes.com/
ThousandEyes helps organizations detect and resolve problems that affect digital experiences across networks. The Account Management team builds services for customer identity, access, entitlements, and contracts.
We’re looking for a technical lead to guide architecture across secure, scalable microservices, high-throughput APIs, and customer-facing web apps. You’ll lead work such as application migrations, API and workflow modernization, and service decoupling; improve reliability and developer productivity; and mentor engineers across the team.
Hybrid schedule: two days in the office each week, in San Francisco or San Jose. At least one day every two weeks must be in San Jose for sprint planning.
Discord | Senior Software Engineer, Application Security | REMOTE (US West Coast) or San Francisco, CA | $196K-$245K base + equity
Discord is where communities and friend groups spend time together, on desktop, mobile, and now more and more inside games and third-party apps built on our platform. That surface area, plus a huge, engaged, occasionally adversarial user base, makes application security a genuinely hard and interesting problem here.
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Application Security team. This is hands-on product engineering: building security features that protect user accounts, strengthening authentication and session security, and improving security-critical services. You will work directly with product teams to ship user-facing account security tools and address emerging threats.
Stack: Python primarily, some TypeScript/React, some Rust, occasional JavaScript. Runs on GCP.
Looking for: hands-on AppSec experience (not just compliance-flavored security), comfort reading and writing code across languages, experience shipping production software, and sound judgment on prioritizing real risk over checklist security. Experience with authentication, passkeys, MFA, or session management is especially relevant.
Location: Remote from the US West Coast. If you are in the Bay Area, our SF office is an option. Relocation to the Bay Area is not required.
Plutus | In Person - Kirkland, WA | Fintech | Full Stack Engineer
We are building an investment advisor platform. Raised $5.4M in our recent funding round.
The role requires a passion for writing clean code, extreme ownership, and the ability to operate with a deep understanding of the tech stack. Use AI effectively, but own the fundamentals - You leverage AI tools to move faster and be more productive, but you have deep knowledge of the entire stack. You can explain what the code does, debug when things break, and make architectural decisions without relying on AI to tell you what's right.
We're building AI agents to expand access to affordable, and high quality healthcare. We run a vertically integrated primary and urgent care clinic and are actively building an agentic platform focused improving longitudinal care outcomes.
We're hiring engineers to work across patient and clinician experiences, production AI systems, and the platforms that help people discover and access care.

Trustworthy Technology | Earth | Part Time | REMOTE | Anything
Hi, we are a small group trying to bring the "trustworthy" feature back to tech. Curating and building a FOSS+ toolset, storefront, and eventually online service—all to support freedom, privacy, and informed consent—on device and on the net.
First off, you'll notice that you've probably not heard about this project before. Next, the message is a bit scattered, and the "programmer art," while arguably not horrible isn't winning any awards either, haha.
That's where you come in.
You are one of the few folks who really cares about this stuff, and also a graphic/product designer, or perhaps a digital marketer, communicator or "people whisperer." (Being in the EU would be helpful as well, to work from the digital sovereignty angle, though not required.) Geeks are welcome too.
Some of us are unemployed and currently donating our time. Maybe you are too, or retired/cashed-out and bored. Consider this another FOSS-like project. We hope the store/service will make money, but we're not there yet.
BTW, if/when you join please say hi and let us know what kind of projects you're interested in.

Hedge (YC) | Founding Engineer | San Francisco | ONSITE | Full-time | $150K-$250K + 1-3% equity
Hedge is an AI-native insurance company. We started as a wholesale brokerage for specialty commercial insurance, where AI agents do most of the work of placing policies: reading messy submissions, chasing missing information, working with 100+ insurance markets, and moving accounts toward coverage. The agents are in production doing real work for paying customers.
We're hiring our founding engineer to own the platform end to end: agents, evals, data pipelines, integrations, and reliability. Python/FastAPI, TypeScript/React, Postgres. You should be deeply technical, resourceful, and have taken something from zero to one. No insurance experience needed.
Arrangr is a scheduling platform with tens of thousands of registered users and hundreds of thousands of people reached through scheduling invitations. Calendly is the incumbent, and it's good. Our thesis: booking links make it efficient to fill your calendar, not productive. Every open slot looks identical, so your best hours go to whoever clicks first. Arrangr schedules by importance.
The opportunity: we can see which companies already have several people using Arrangr individually. Each of those is an unmonetized team. You'd build the motion that converts them (in-product surface, sequences, landing page, pilot) and handle the replies it generates: seats, admin rights, security questions. Then reactivate a large dormant base and fix acquisition.
The engagement: five milestones over roughly three months, $12K paid on milestone completion, milestones 1 and 2 contracted first. "Done" means shipped, instrumented and measured against a baseline. Equity is a defined grant tied to new ARR booked; hitting the middle tier triggers a founding title. Engineering time is limited, so you ship within existing product surfaces.
Right for you if you've run PQL-to-team expansion and reactivation against a base in the tens of thousands. Not for CRO specialists (our volume won't support the testing), paid media buyers, or anyone who wants to manage a team. There is no team. You're it.
To apply: no cover letter. Email adams@arrangr.com with three links to things you personally built, one line each on what the numbers did. Plus one answer: we can see which companies have several individual users. How would you turn that into team conversions, and have you run that motion before?
I read and reply to every one. – Adam, co-founder/CEO

Fazeshift | Senior Software Engineer | San Francisco, CA | ONSITE 5 days | Full-time | $200k–$235k + equity
I’m Chris, VP Engineering at Fazeshift. Accounts receivable sounds boring until you look under the hood: it sits at the intersection of money, business relationships, old and new software systems, and a huge amount of repetitive human work.
We build AI agents that actually do that work — billing, collections, payments, and cash application. Since 2024, we’ve grown revenue 12x and eight unicorns now run their AR on Fazeshift. We’re nine engineers plus our Founder/CTO and me.
The interesting engineering constraint is that *we intentionally aren’t the system of record*. Our agents take real actions across customers’ ERPs, banks, billing systems, and other infrastructure. A timeout doesn’t necessarily mean a write failed; webhooks can arrive late or twice; blindly retrying can be exactly the wrong thing to do.
That creates some fun problems:
* How do you let agents take consequential actions safely — with the right permissions, auditability, idempotency, durable execution, and human intervention?
* How do you build one coherent product across systems you don’t control?
* How should an engineering team work when coding agents can handle meaningful chunks of implementation, debugging, testing, and exploration?
We’re especially interested in engineers whose development workflow has already materially changed because of coding agents. We use them heavily, often in parallel, but generated code is still your code. Judgment, debugging, systems thinking, taste, and understanding what actually shipped matter a lot here.
We’re looking for 5+ years of experience, strong TypeScript/full-stack skills, and real production ownership. No fintech experience needed.
I read every application myself. Email chris.zehner@fazeshift.com with HN in the subject, your résumé/LinkedIn/GitHub, and a few sentences about one concrete way coding agents have changed how you build software — including how you verify their work.

Shepherd (Series B) | ONSITE | San Francisco, CA & New York City, NY
At Shepherd, we're pursuing the most ambitious technical vision in commercial insurance: fully autonomous underwriting. Shepherd is an AI-native commercial insurance platform transforming how high-hazard industries get covered.
The infrastructure behind the AI boom (data centers, semiconductor fabs, renewable energy assets) has to be built and insured, but traditional carriers weren't built for this speed. We built Shepherd to solve that.
We announced our $42M Series B earlier this year! That brings our total funding to over $60M — led by Intact Private Capital, the investment arm of one of the largest insurers in the world. Intact is not only our lead investor but also a carrier partner, a testament to the confidence the incumbent industry has in what we're building.
We’re looking for product-minded, high ownership engineers to join our team! The Engineering team is HQ’d in SF, but we’re growing in NYC now too!
We’re hiring for 2 Senior Full Stack Software Engineers, 1 Machine Learning Engineer and 1 AI Product Manager in SF, and 2 Staff Full Stack Software Engineers in NYC. Engineers own projects end-to-end so full stack ability is expected.
Check out our open roles here: https://shepherdinsurance.com/careers
Our stack includes: Typescript, React, Next.js, GraphQL w/ Apollo, Node.js, Postgres & Redis
– If you have experience building AI agents or multi-step reasoning systems, we’d love to hear from you.
* In the form, be sure to mention that you heard about this opportunity via Hacker News.
If you want to read more about our team and culture, check out our blog: https://shepherdinsurance.com/blog
We make Fantastical and Cardhop, award-winning calendar and contacts apps for macOS, iOS, visionOS, and Windows. We are a small, fully-remote company spread across the US and Europe, and welcome anyone from around the world. We prefer candidates that are in time zones between US Pacific Time and Central European Time.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Android developer to help bring the joy of Flexibits apps to Android. This will include learning the ins and outs of Fantastical and bringing its magic to Android, all the way from the natural language parser to the beautiful user interface.
We build serverless applications on AWS for clients and for our own SaaS products. On client projects, we work directly with their developers and help them understand and maintain what we build.
You’ll write backend code in TypeScript/Node.js, build APIs with Lambda and API Gateway, model data in DynamoDB, and design event-driven workflows and integrations. Infrastructure lives in code using AWS CDK, with CI/CD pipelines for builds and deployments. You’ll help decide how systems are designed and take testing, observability and security into account as you build. There’s some React/Next.js work too.
We’re looking for practical experience building AWS serverless applications with TypeScript/Node.js, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD and event-driven design. The role includes working through requirements and technical decisions with clients, so you should be comfortable with that.
We use coding agents daily and expect you to use them too, and to share useful approaches with other developers. AWS serverless development is the main focus of the role.
We’re remote-first, use Scrum, and work with code reviews, pair programming, and unit and integration tests. We meet in person regularly, sometimes in Cologne, sometimes in Austria or Mallorca. We plan travel around family commitments.
You must be based in Germany and speak business-fluent German and good English. We don’t offer visa sponsorship.
€75k–80k, 32 days of vacation, hardware of your choice, and company-paid AI tool subscriptions.
Send your CV to recruiting@pagnos.com – no cover letter needed. Questions before applying are welcome.
Tether | AI Harness Engineer | REMOTE (Worldwide) | Full-time
We're looking for an AI Harness Engineer to build local AI systems combining agentic AI with P2P technology.
Looking for strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience and hands-on work with AI/LLMs, agent harnesses, local inference, and/or P2P/distributed systems. Open-source experience is a plus.
I applied several times, but always got the same generic response. It would be good if you guys gave applicants some feedback, as applying to Tether is not easy. I even had to record a video.
In a world of cognitive offloading, Brilliant's AI tutor gets kids to actually think. The graphical canvas is interactable by both the learner and their tutor, leading to pedagogically-rich interactions.
We're hiring an interactive-focused engineer to craft the building blocks that power this experience. Each interactive exposes an API used by learning designers, our authoring agents, and the tutor itself. And every configuration those APIs can produce has to be a correct, solvable, meaningful puzzle. It's a tricky technical problem with a big payoff for our learners.
Engineers at Brilliant think about both "building the right thing" AND "building the thing right" while pursuing high standards of excellence for ourselves, our product, and our codebase.
If you'd like to do the best work of your career while changing how the world learns, apply here: https://brilliant.org/careers.

Thunder Compute (YC S24) | C++ Systems, Infrastructure, BizOps | San Francisco (Onsite) | Full-time | https://www.thundercompute.com
We're building the VMware for GPUs. Most GPUs in the cloud sit idle a lot of the time because they're bolted to one machine over PCIe. We decouple them.
Our virtualization layer is a userspace shim, loaded through LD_PRELOAD, that intercepts CUDA calls and ships them over the network to a host with a physical GPU somewhere else in the data center. Workloads run unchanged. When a process goes idle, the GPU detaches and gets reassigned, and reattaches in tens of milliseconds when it's needed again. Think Ceph for GPUs: the GPU becomes a network resource a cluster-wide scheduler can pool and pack.
The hard part is making that fast. We're within ~10% of native on most AI workloads, and it lets us serve ~1.8x more users on the same fleet. We run it in production as our own GPU cloud and sell it to enterprises with underutilized fleets.
Team is from Citadel Securities, Aquatic, Old Mission, AWS, and Bain. Series A, $17.5M raised from Matrix and Y Combinator.
We're an early-stage UK company building a mobile application, funded by its founder (just me), which is why the scope below is deliberately narrow.
I'm looking for an applied cryptographer to review a protocol specification before it ships. It is small and specific: three messages, two parties, signature-based, using hardware-backed keys on both iOS and Android. It uses standard primitives only (ECDSA over P-256, SHA-256) and invents no new cryptography; the question is how they are combined. The specification is written and frozen, with test vectors and the generator that produces them.
What I want is a competent second opinion on whether it is sound: six specific questions answered in writing. Not an open-ended audit or a penetration test. The person I'm looking for has either published on protocol security or reviews protocols professionally; being good with crypto libraries isn't quite the same thing.
One piece of contract work, not a role. Under a short mutual NDA.
Email clive@human8e.com by Sunday 4 October with a short summary of the protocol analysis you've done, and I'll send scope, timing and what I'd need from you.
The best developers don't wait for a customer to tell them something's broken. They catch it first, in the pull request, in staging, or in the checkout flow at 3am, before a single user notices. That instinct is Checkly's whole reason to exist. We give developers and their agents the tools to own reliability the way they own their code: monitoring defined as code, powered by OpenTelemetry and Playwright, versioned and reviewed like everything else they ship. From pull request to post-mortem, in one place.
Open roles:
- Senior Product Engineer (DevTools & AI reliability) - remote, UTC-3 to UTC+3
- Product Manager (DevTools & AI Reliability) - remote UTC-3 to UTC+3
- Senior Sales Engineer - remote Europe (UTC+1 to UTC+2)
- Sales Engineer - remote US, Eastern time zone
Please note: working proficiency in Dutch is strictly required for these roles, and we kindly ask for no automated applications. The rest of this post will continue in Dutch.

What sucked the last time you rented a house or flat? Come and fix it. OpenRent is force for good in an industry tarnished by rip-off agencies and one of the biggest UK websites by traffic. Enabled by an unrelenting focus on technology, we let more properties than any agency in the UK. In the last 12m we let over £50 billion worth of property, to over 8 million registered users, without ever charging any admin fees.
You'll be working on solving every aspect of the rental journey, from models to predict the right price of a property, to building the future of property management, all to help tenants find their dream home, and landlords their ideal tenant.
We're PE backed, profitable, and have plenty of ambition to maintain our fast growth in this absolutely massive market.
JustPark is the premier partner offering both B2B solutions for destinations and B2C services for drivers, giving us the best of both worlds. We simplify the entire parking experience. From venues and councils to private driveways, our platform makes it simple for drivers to find, book, and pay for parking—while empowering our operating partners to deliver exceptional parking experiences.
Join the JustPark Reporting team. You'll build, ship and maintain the data platform and reporting products behind our venue operations, used at venues like Mercedes Benz Stadium, The Greek Theatre and The O2 Arena. Following the 2024 merger of ParkHub and JustPark, we're scaling internationally, which means distributed systems, teams, and interesting problems at the intersection of payments, data and real time event operations. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll own meaningful pieces of our platform from design through production, including keeping them healthy on live event days.
We're an AI native engineering team: engineers use Claude Code, Copilot and Cursor as daily tools for code generation, review, debugging and documentation, and we build MCP integrations that connect our AI tools directly to Jira, Confluence, Slack and internal APIs so engineers stay in flow.
You'll work closely with Product, QA, and our UK engineering and data teams to shape the data strategy of a fast growing international company.
Some of what you'll be doing:
-Design, build and ship backend services and streaming data pipelines in Go that handle real world scale
-Own data end to end: event schema and contract design, durable messaging patterns, and the read models and warehouse tables analytics is served from
-Build financial data flows, including payment processor ingestion, fee reconciliation and ledger backed reporting
-Ingest and reconcile third party data (partner files and payment processor APIs) with idempotent, replayable backfills
-Develop and evolve API and GraphQL serving layers that power our internal and external products
-Migrate existing reporting paths onto the new architecture
We run 100+ WordPress and Next.js properties and we're rebuilding our
development workflow around coding agents. You'd own the platform and
set the standard for how we use AI in production.
Sidekick Labs | Senior SWE, R&D Engineer, Intelligence Engineer | REMOTE (US Timezones) | Full-time | $170k to $230k Base + Equity + Health
Sidekick builds AI security software for enterprises. Our sensors observe AI behavior and use in situ. From those observations, our reasoning pipeline produces an application inventory and a risk picture, allowing us to provide real-time intervention and coaching right when it matters.
Compensation: base salary scaled to experience, meaningful early-stage equity, and 100% covered health insurance for you and your immediate family
We are a highly senior team. Most of us have been founders or on early founding teams, so we operate with high ownership. We expect you to have a real, current AI-assisted development practice. Our system spans several languages, and we expect you to use AI tools to quickly navigate unfamiliar parts of the codebase so you can comfortably own problems end-to-end across a broad stack.
We are hiring for three roles:
- Senior Software Engineer: You will work across our event-driven architecture. You'll write Go and Python backend services and touch endpoint-deployed browser and desktop components. You need to be comfortable developing in a multi-tenant, microservice-driven SaaS architecture and understand typical scale and security implications for such products.
- R&D Engineer: This is not an open-ended research function. You will take ambiguous feasibility questions tied to our roadmap and return defensible answers inside a week. You'll build handoff-ready prototypes, then shift into engineering mode to personally drive them through to production. You will also define operational envelopes and degradation boundaries, and rigorously deprecate infeasible ideas with documented rationale to avoid future re-litigation.
- Intelligence and Data Processing Engineer: This role is for someone who loves real browser and desktop forensics. You'll use dev tools and debuggers as your primary instruments. Expect to be reading minified code to find where state lives and analyzing network logs to understand undocumented APIs. You will figure out how AI products work and build the prototyping and automation to maintain our software inventory.
To apply:

I'm building applyapply — it runs a serious job search overnight: matching roles, tailored resumes, cover notes, and answers so applications take minutes instead of hours. Live product. https://applyapply.xyz
Hiring two founding roles:
1) Founding Engineer — $140–170k + meaningful founding equity Own the product end-to-end: sourcing, resume-per-posting pipeline, Chrome extension, reliability. Full-stack + LLM/API work. Bias to ship; keep candidate achievements intact (no bland rewrites). Apply: https://applyapply.xyz/jobs/founding-engineer
2) Founding Growth — $110–140k + meaningful founding equity Own how people find applyapply: channels, content, experiments, conversion. Partner with eng on the product surfaces that drive adoption. You've grown a consumer/prosumer product (or built something that spread without a big brand budget). Apply: https://applyapply.xyz/jobs/founding-growth

What I'm looking for: - 2+ years shipping production systems, or fewer if your background is unusual and you can show what you've built - real experience with at least one of: search/IR, large-scale data processing, ML systems, API design - you already use Claude Code, Cursor or similar as part of how you work - geo/POI data experience is a plus, not required
Fair warning: we are a small team, fast pace, and there could be nights and weekends. If that's not where you are in life right now, totally fine, this just isn't a good fit.
Process: a short note on why you, a 30 min call with me and then Vlad, a technical deep dive, then a paid trial project.
Apply here: https://www.workatastartup.com/jobs/93490 or email me directly at yarik@voygr.tech
Lead Software Engineer - https://careers.cisco.com/global/en/job/2023366/Lead-Softwar...
Interview process: recruiter call, coding round, HM interview, virtual onsite, decision.
Apply: https://discord.com/jobs/8656854002
We are building an investment advisor platform. Raised $5.4M in our recent funding round.
The role requires a passion for writing clean code, extreme ownership, and the ability to operate with a deep understanding of the tech stack. Use AI effectively, but own the fundamentals - You leverage AI tools to move faster and be more productive, but you have deep knowledge of the entire stack. You can explain what the code does, debug when things break, and make architectural decisions without relying on AI to tell you what's right.

Hi, we are a small group trying to bring the "trustworthy" feature back to tech. Curating and building a FOSS+ toolset, storefront, and eventually online service—all to support freedom, privacy, and informed consent—on device and on the net.
We've written our thoughts and research down at: https://trustworthy.technology/ and we have a few geeks starting projects at: https://codeberg.org/aol
Interested? Let's chat at: https://trustytech.zulipchat.com/join/ivui3uglp2at3tyltau7jj...
BTW, if/when you join please say hi and let us know what kind of projects you're interested in.
We are a German strategy & transformation consultancy building our own product: a platform to design, orchestrate, run and govern AI agents for enterprise processes – built entirely on Microsoft Azure in C#/.NET (Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel/Agent Framework, MCP, knowledge graphs, RAG, vector DBs). We are looking for the person who owns the engineering end-to-end: architecture, hands-on coding, CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, IaC), multi-tenancy, security, cost control, and leading a small senior team. Must have: AI agents that are in production today (tell us which and where), strong C#/.NET, deep Azure, 5+ years of professional software development, fluent German and English. You report directly to the founders and shape the product from day one. Apply with CV and a short description of the agents you have shipped: recruiting@strategy-transformation.com
We are building a HuggingFace / npm for ontologies. Ontologies are what gives data meaning.
We are looking for people to get this tech into the hands of as many devs in AI & data as possible. You don't need to know what are ontologies, we can teach you that. Some background in agents or analytics preferred.
Apply if you like working with OSS communities, technical writing, and physical events (e.g., workshops at conferences). You get ownership over the process – you tell us how you want to run this.
All experience levels are welcome: https://app.dover.com/apply/98147191-8319-43cd-911f-98f678be...

We're building an intimate device that responds in real time to a live AI-generated story and to her body: an app-connected, sensor-equipped vibrator synced to an interactive audio story that AI performs live. The device follows the story, and the story follows her body. Our first 1,000 pre-orders sold out, and we've raised a $1.5M pre-seed. All-woman founding team (CEO is an exited founder and HBS grad; CTO is a multi-time founder and MIT alum; COO/CPO helped lead Wattpad to a $650M exit).
This is employee #1. You'll own hardware architecture, review and change our China partners' schematics and C/C++ BLE firmware (ESP32 / nRF), co-design the BLE protocol under tight latency budgets, integrate the IMU and body sensors (separating real body signals from the device's own vibration), and take us from prototype through EVT/DVT, certification and production, with trips to Shenzhen at key milestones.
You've shipped connected hardware end to end (consumer, wearable, medical or robotics), have 8+ years building hardware products with hands-on embedded work, and have been through at least one production ramp with a contract manufacturer. Bonus: haptics/motor control (ERM/LRA, PWM, waveform tuning), real-time systems, body-worn sensing, FCC/CE/Bluetooth SIG certification.
Apply: email morgan@experiencedevin.com with your resume or LinkedIn and a short note on one product you shipped: what you owned, the hardest hardware problem you solved, and how you knew it worked.

Join us at Snout on our mission to ensure no one ever has to make a health decision for their pet based on the cash in their bank account. Snout plans pay for 100% of routine veterinary care, unlimited visits, and additional member benefits - think pet insurance, that you will actually use every year.
We're growing the team and hiring across the board. Featured role this month:
Founding Data Engineer - be our first data hire: make sense of hundreds of millions of rows from vet practice-management systems and our own app, and turn our Postgres and dbt warehouse into a foundation the whole company trusts.
Our tech stack includes Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Tailwind, and Python. We use both JavaScript and TypeScript heavily. Our team uses LLM-based tooling day to day, but we're fundamentally a human-centric team, and our product itself does not heavily feature AI components.
Apply at https://jobs.gem.com/snout

Stack: TypeScript/Next.js, tRPC, Prisma/MySQL/PlanetScale, Inngest, AWS.
I read every application myself. Email chris.zehner@fazeshift.com with HN in the subject, your résumé/LinkedIn/GitHub, and a few sentences about one concrete way coding agents have changed how you build software — including how you verify their work.
Shield AI's mission is to protect service members and civilians by creating intelligent systems.

Check out our open roles here: https://shepherdinsurance.com/careers Our stack includes: Typescript, React, Next.js, GraphQL w/ Apollo, Node.js, Postgres & Redis – If you have experience building AI agents or multi-step reasoning systems, we’d love to hear from you.
Tech stack: Kotlin, C#, Objective-C, Swift, AppKit, UIKit, SwiftUI, C, C++.

Open roles:
- Software Engineer, C++ Systems ($215K-$325K + meaningful equity). Low-level, latency-sensitive work on the virtualization layer. Quant dev / HFT background preferred: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/thundercompute/2efae53b-817c-43e7-9...

Open roles:
- Senior Product Engineer (DevTools & AI reliability) - remote, UTC-3 to UTC+3 - Product Manager (DevTools & AI Reliability) - remote UTC-3 to UTC+3 - Senior Sales Engineer - remote Europe (UTC+1 to UTC+2) - Sales Engineer - remote US, Eastern time zone

Some of what you'll be doing: -Design, build and ship backend services and streaming data pipelines in Go that handle real world scale -Own data end to end: event schema and contract design, durable messaging patterns, and the read models and warehouse tables analytics is served from -Build financial data flows, including payment processor ingestion, fee reconciliation and ledger backed reporting -Ingest and reconcile third party data (partner files and payment processor APIs) with idempotent, replayable backfills -Develop and evolve API and GraphQL serving layers that power our internal and external products -Migrate existing reporting paths onto the new architecture
We run 100+ WordPress and Next.js properties and we're rebuilding our development workflow around coding agents. You'd own the platform and set the standard for how we use AI in production.
Stack: WordPress (Gutenberg, ACF, WP-CLI), PHP, MySQL, Next.js, Linux/Docker, GitHub Actions, n8n.
We want someone who has shipped production code with Claude Code, Codex or similar and has real opinions about where agents help and where they don't.
US: W2 or contract. Canada: contract. Contract available with an immediate start.

To apply: Send an email to eric+hn@sidekicklabs.com with the role in the subject. Include a PDF of your resume, a quick sentence or two about a tough technical problem you've solved recently, and links to your GitHub, personal site, and/or LinkedIn.
I'm Eric, VP of Technology, and I will personally read every email sent to the HN subaddress. You can view my background here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/three-two-one
